It’s time to go ham right here on the dance floor as we keep DOIN’ IT to the guys out there who know how to boogie down the best. The 50th anniversary of everything cool and the OG disco boys - the KC and the Sunshine boys have EXTENDED their all year 2025 tour, added a slew of more dates for the ones who love to party, and invited us all to the show! Right here at The Cove on January 29th for the best night of the winter! 

KC and his Sunshine rockers truly need no introduction with how deep and eclectic their catalogue is - but let’s do it anyway! For all those who don’t know. They kicked off their career in Florida back in the mid 70s (so yes - their name isn’t totally random like many of us may have thought), the band took the first part of their name from KC’s last name, and began on an appreciation for music and above all, eclectic sounds. They have won three GRAMMYS, have multiple hits across their discography, and are regarded as one of the most popular and successful disco groups of all time. They also have over 100 million record sales, and are credited for progressing the sound to new heights when disco was at its peak. They generally do over 100 live shows a year - And 2025 is the first year they really slowed it down. So it makes sense everyone’s itching for a new KC fix - it’s been a year and a half since they were here last, after all!

Speaking on the main inspiration for the band and the music they made, Harry Wayne Casey commented on how the craziness of the world actually inspired them. “The widespread social and political issues of the 1960s was, in part, the inspiration to do something that would make people forget about their problems and be happy,” said Casey. “People were looking for something that would divert their attention from the negative aspects of everyday life surrounding them.”And 50 years later - the overall message and energy still lives on in a poignant and palpable way.
